Welcome to the webpage of Lei Zhang.

I am a PhD candidate in Decision Neuroscience at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf. I work in the Bernstein Research Group “Valuation and Social Decision-making” (a.k.a. Gläscher Lab) led by Jan Gläscher. Currently, I am a Roche intern for Scientific Exchange (RiSE)  based in the Biomarkers and Clinical Imaging Group at Roche Innovation Center Basel, Switzerland.

My research applies knowledge from cognitive neuroscience, psychology, and computational modeling to gain a comprehensive understanding of how the brain computes values and social information when making decisions. For that, I use behavioral measurements, functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), and Bayesian hierarchical modeling.
